The Nuclear is a FUSION vehicle in Crash of Cars.

Description[]
The Nuclear appears as a large grey missile truck. It has large front black wheels and treads on the rear portions. With the sensory features on the top of the hull such as the antenna and viewing dome comparable to Bomb Bot, may explain how it is able to track targets. Finally its signature feature is the giant missile launcher compartment mounted on the back, with a red missile ready to fire.
Special Properties[]
The Nuclear's Homing Missile power-ups are replaced with Missile Strike, which is also its first power-up after spawn. Once equipped, the launcher on its back rises. When fired, the missile is launched into the air and takes 1 second to activate its engines while the launcher retracts and loads another cosmetic missile.
Once airborne, the missile will acquire lock-on a specified target. If there aren't any, the missile will travel until another one is found. Once within proximity, the missile pauses for one second, then slams to the ground and detonates, doing 1 damage in its area of effect.
Strategies[]
Nuclear is a decent vehicle in terms of raw performance, able to adapt better on the field better than other large vehicles, giving it slightly more general utility. What makes it special, though, is its exclusive Missile Strike, a worthwhile upgrade from the standard Homing Missile. While it still has a relatively limited lock-on range, Nuclear isn't threatened much by this downside as the missile is able to acquire targets even after launch, greatly improving the effectiveness of blind firing. As its launcher always remains in a fixed position, Nuclear has some additional elements of surprise, as unless fired, one cannot generally predict what will it target. Its area of effect and accuracy are nothing to scoff at, either, as the missile is not easily obstructed, capable of flying extreme distances before inflicting massive collateral damage in a surprisingly large area. This attribute is especially deadly versus vehicles on low health or struck by the Freeze Cannon, as the missile's expanded lifetime and effective accuracy makes it near impossible to outrun. What's more, with sufficient luck, multiple Missile Strikes can be chained if obtained in a rapid succession, causing their damage to quickly stack up and wrecking havoc onto many foes.
The main disadvantage of Nuclear is its large hitbox. While its mobility is sufficient to outrun slower opponents and better than most similarly sized vehicles, it lacks an effective response at close quarters versus more agile opponents and will quickly succumb to enemy fire that it could hardly escape from. While it can rely more on its exclusive power-up to turn the tables, aggressive targets or those that that survive the strong hit may be able to retaliate quickly. These factors mostly relegate the vehicle to a unique sniper role, which it fills insidiously, though not the best at the task.
What Nuclear brings to the table are all but excellent. That being said, cementing its backbone is the unprecedented upgrade of an otherwise somewhat outclassed power-up, which provides it with the unexpected edge that salvages its abysmal downsides.

Trivia[]
- The vehicle is based on a combination of four vehicles, the latter three of which from the HALO franchise.
- The rear launcher is loosely based on the 9K720 Iskander missile truck.
- The front wheels resemble the the SP42 Cobra.
- The front hood resembles the M312 Elephant.
- The back treads resemble the ones seen in the back of a M808 Scorpion from Halo.
- It is the first half-tracked vehicle in the entire game, though ironically
- Its name refers to its mushroom cloud animation generated by the missile, of which real life nuclear weapons are often associated with. Additionally, the real 9K720 is capable of utilizing Nuclear Missiles.
- The in-game nuclear missile is clearly underpowered, as real life nuclear weapons possess extreme destructive power that can even destroy a whole city.
- Whenever selected from the Car Lab or upon returning to the main menu, Nuclear will play its missile arming animation.
- If Missile Strike is obtained moments after another is launched, Nuclear will automatically skip the reload animation.
- It is possible to chip the Phantom Bosses in the Dungeon with Nuclear, as its Missile Strike possess extreme range and can ignore obstacles, easily capable of reaching them if fired in the right direction. Likewise, this can also be used to harass vehicles outside of the arena by staying within it.
- Nuclear's model is sufficiently large for certain power-ups to blend in with its model.
Bugs and Glitches[]
- Nuclear cannot destroy bridges seen in Jungle, due to its low mass. This is fixed in the Skygarden Update.
Changes in Updates[]
- The Nuclear was introduced in the 2020 Frozen Vale Update.
- Those who failed to obtain Twinkle during the 2020 Festive Event can no longer obtain Nuclear due to it being denoted as an upcoming vehicle.
- The Nuclear was available again after the 2021 Festive Event as Twinkle was no longer an upcoming vehicle.
- After the 2023 Jungle Update, Nuclear's health has been increased from 6 to 7, and its missile strike damage has been boosted to match that of the Homing Missile.
