While on a flat surface, Vertigo can activate its rocket engines, propelling it into the air for 2.5 seconds.
The ability has a 6-second recharge period which counts down at the beginning of the game or right after usage.
Vertigo has above average speed and handling, also possessing strong grip. This, in conjunction with the Jump ability, makes Vertigo exceptionally mobile as it can get through areas that are out of reach for most other cars. The Jump ability can be used to escape from obstacles like lakes, or hazards like Landmines or Oil puddles. What is noteworthy is the interaction with Vertigo's Jump ability and the Boost powerup; while Vertigo slows down when it is Jumping, Boost is not affected when Vertigo has lifted off, allowing Vertigo to keep the speed in the air, making it a very useful powerup when using Vertigo.
While it is timing-dependent and generally unreliable, Vertigo can also Jump past projectiles, such as when someone tries to shoot Vertigo with Spread Cannon or Cannon.
To destroy this car, use Railgun to defeat Vertigo. One can also exploit the fact that Vertigo slows down while jumping, as they can use Spread Cannon or Flamethrower after it uses Jump.
- Vertigo is the first non-fusion vehicle that possesses an integrated power-up.
Bugs and Glitches
- Vertigo's ability trigger may randomly despawn after a full recharge, rendering it unusable for the rest of the session.
