The Vertigo is a LEGENDARY vehicle in Crash of Cars.
Waiting for War while Vaulting to Victory.
Description[]
TBA
Special Properties[]
While on a flat surface, Vertigo can activate its rocket engines, propelling it into the air for 2.5 seconds. Vertigo retains momentum based on movement before jump, but cannot steer itself mid-air.
The ability has a 6-second recharge period which counts down at the beginning of the game or right after usage.
Strategies[]
Vertigo has above average speed and handling, as well as good grip and health. It has enough mobility to steer clear of other enemy vehicles on its own, with the Jump ability augmenting it to new heights. It allows the vehicle to actually surmount and scale otherwise impossible obstacles or even dodge enemy projectiles in a similar fashion to Plane, with the manual activation allowing players to execute tactical manuvers at the most desirable moment. Strategic use can therefore quickly render it effectively untouchable to many adversaries with periods of risky but rewarding avoidance.
There are a couple of downsides that plague this vehicle. The Jump, while capable of nullifying many common obstructions, a few others like the Homing Missile, Flamethrower and Blackhole remain prominent threats. The duration of this ability is also relatively insignificant, and despite the similarly short cooldown, there is still a significant window of opportunity to exploit, and matters exacerbate further if the user makes a single mistake, meaning as a panic button, it is relatively limited. Unable to control itself during flight while being extremely intensive on timing and momentum, Vertigo's mistimed Jumps may simply throw itself into the line of fire, where it easily falters due to its average health.
It isn't easy to meaningfully cover Vertigo, as its innate weaknesses and strengths relatively balance each other out. It is serviceable to most, but only has its due if it meets the right hands.
